About Grishma Joshi

I'm a systems thinker and problem-solver, blending Electronics Engineering with Product Design. I've helped startups build impactful products across healthcare, geospatial analytics, agriculture, forestry, and fintech.

I started as an Electronics & Communication Engineer who discovered product design at a career fair in 2015. I realised I was made to identify problems and tackle them creatively, and product design was the bridge between my technical foundation and creative passion.

I pursued my M.Sc. in Product Design Engineering from Glasgow School of Art, University of Glasgow, where I strengthened my skills in ethnographic research, design thinking, and conversation-led innovation.

My professional journey began at BEMPU Health, where I stitched functional prototypes for life-saving devices for premature babies in NICUs, designing and testing at Niloufer Hospital in Hyderabad, India's largest government hospital.

In 2021 I joined SatSure as the second designer managing two products. Over four years I have hired and managed nine designers and delivered eleven products across agriculture, forestry, and BFSI.

Today, as Associate Director of Product Design at SatSure, I work in geospatial data and analytics, helping banks assess agricultural loans in minutes instead of 45 days, and enabling governments to manage natural resources through digital transformation.

I lead with empathy. Culture survives longer than management, so I invest in long-term initiatives: design workshops and trainings, Women's Welfare Volunteers, chairing the Internal Complaints Committee at SatSure and KaleidEO, and hosting Geek Speak knowledge-sharing sessions.

Outside of screens I'm a maker: crochet, embroidery, painting, resin art, and a lifetime of experiments. Crafts remind me that not everything needs to scale.
